Summer on Moy Estate is a joyous time of plenty, as the fields, forests and moors burst to life in a vibrant display of colour and sound. Birdlife is everywhere – from Red Kites and Cuckoos, to Curlews and Crossbills – making the estate its own, whilst wildflowers and purple ling heather carpet the land in a rolling patchwork quilt of breathtaking beauty.

While the berries are ripening and the fruits of the land fill the cornucopia for the long winter, the Highlands never fail to impress. The next attraction is never far away, may it be Loch Ness, Cawdor Castle, or the Clava Cairns near Culloden Battlefield. Don't miss out on the small wonders along the way while visiting.

As the year grows older wild fruits start to appear in the lanes and woodlands – most notably raspberries and blueberries – offering plentiful pickings for those who are wise enough to accept Nature's offerings.

“Whatever you do with your day, for something different why not try an after-dinner drive to Ruthven Barracks which are spectacularly lit up as dusk approaches – or else curl up on the sofa of your own private cottage apartment with a glass of wine and hatch your plans for the rest of your holiday…

And with the advent of autumn there is a change in the air – the misty mornings speak of challenges ahead, as Red Deer rut, Salmon leap and Wild Goats graze hungrily on grasses that are soon to disappear under the snow and ice-fields of the Highland winter.
